60 Seconds to Change your Mindset

The Shakespeare's English Club conducted an engaging and interactive session with the aim of enhancing students' communication skills, vocabulary, and critical thinking. The programme comprised three interesting activities that encouraged active participation and confidence among the students.The first activity, "Just A Minute Talk," provided students with an opportunity to speak extempore on various topics for one minute. It helped them improve their fluency, spontaneity, and public speaking skills.
The second activity was a Language Game –
"Change a Letter to Make a New Word." Students enthusiastically participated by changing one letter in a given word to create a new meaningful word. This activity enriched their vocabulary, spelling, and word-building abilities in a fun and interactive manner.
The highlight of the session was the Debate on the topic "AI: A Boon or a Bane to Society." Students confidently presented their views both in favour of and against Artificial Intelligence. They supported their arguments with relevant examples, demonstrating logical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork. The debate encouraged students to think critically about the impact of AI on modern society.
Outcome:
The session was lively, informative, and highly interactive. The activities successfully fostered creativity, confidence, and effective communication among the participants.
